My Predictive Index (PI) Reference Profile

Michael Timmons
Persuader (PI)

What is the Predictive Index Profile?

Every person who takes the assessment is assigned to one of 17 Reference Profiles.

These profiles provide a general snapshot of workplace behavior without needing to interpret individual factor scores.

Reference Profiles are built from the four primary behavioral drives:

  1. Dominance (A)

  2. Extraversion (B)

  3. Patience (C )

  4. Formality (D)

A person’s scores act like coordinates. Those coordinates are compared to standardized, prototypical profile patterns. The individual is assigned to the Reference Profile that is closest to their pattern.

My World as a Persuader

As a Persuader, I naturally gravitate toward sales, relationship building, industry networking, content creation, and expanding my influence through platforms like LinkedIn and industry publications. I enjoy creating content that provides value, connecting people within my network, increasing visibility for my ideas and articles, and building meaningful relationships across organizations.

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to build trust and influence others. I can create connections quickly and inspire people to take action. At the same time, I recognize that one of my biggest challenges is the tendency to pursue too many opportunities at once. Because I see potential in so many directions, it's important for me to have systems, processes, or strong team support in place to manage the details after the relationship has been established.

My Persuader formula is simple:

Meet people → Build trust → Create opportunities →

Build systems or delegate execution → Repeat

When I focus my energy on developing relationships, influencing outcomes, and creating new opportunities (while surrounding myself with strong operational support), I am able to perform at my highest level and deliver exceptional results for my team, customers, and organization.
