About Me:
I work at the intersection of strategy, brand, and the automotive aftermarket, where execution matters and relationships are key. I'm a true enthusiast of the automotive aftermarket, the luxury watch market, and the firearms industry. I also understand how business should work with an entrepreneurial spirit and have seen Private Equity (PE) succeed and fail across different markets. I have experience and a clear understanding of how multi-channel (OEM, Distribution, Retailer, Direct-to-Consumer) sales and marketing push/pull should work for manufacturers and suppliers.
My background is rooted in industries where results are visible, and excuses don't last long. Over time, I've focused on helping brands and teams move beyond "parts on shelves" thinking toward integrated, forward-looking models that align with where the market is heading, especially in accessories, lifestyle, and fleet products.
I'm particularly interested in:
-
Smarter distribution strategies
-
Authentic media and partnership alignment
-
Leadership teams that plan and execute
-
Turning industry noise into meaningful action
-
Connecting consumers and distribution through a push/pull method
The aftermarket is evolving fast. Consolidation is real. Digital-first logistics are table stakes. The winners will be the ones who stop reacting and start positioning.
You'll usually find me collaborating with people who care about doing things the right way, asking uncomfortable questions, and building something that lasts longer than the next trade show cycle.
What's Next For Me?
As you may or may not be aware, the Automotive Aftermarket, like other industries, is currently at a fascinating crossroads between traditional mechanical excellence and rapid digital evolution. With over 25 years of experience leading marketing, sales, product development, and some operational tasks in this sector, most recently at Horsepower Automotive Group, I have built my career on mastering all sides of the equation across a range of sales channels and challenges. I'm looking for a company where my ability to drive profitability, stability, and innovation could be successful.
Throughout my career, I have operated as a "full lifecycle" executive. While many leaders specialize in Sales, Marketing, or product development & management, I offer a proven track record in all four, reinforced by deep technical expertise in Regulatory Affairs, Quality Control, and Cost Analysis. This holistic view allows me not only to sell the vision but also to ensure the product and the P&L support it.
Since leaving Truck Hero in 2020, I have navigated a complex landscape of contract work amid the COVID pandemic, acquisitions, and transitional leadership roles, which have affected my positions. While these experiences sharpened my ability to deliver immediate ROI and optimize EBITDA under pressure, my main objective has shifted. I am seeking a "home base," a permanent role where I can plant roots, apply my experience to a long-term vision, and build a legacy of growth based on ROI.
I bring three specific value drivers:
Bridging Tradition and Innovation: I leverage emerging technologies, including AI integration in sales and marketing, to modernize outreach without alienating the core automotive customer base.
Operational Efficiency: I have extensive experience managing full P&L responsibilities and bridging interdepartmental gaps to streamline production, compliance, and distribution.
Talent Development: The team is the strongest asset on the balance sheet. I am deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of leaders, fostering a culture of accountability, and building diverse, high-performance teams.
I'm seeking a fresh start in one of the following industries:
-
Automotive Aftermarket
-
Automotive Performance
-
Luxury Goods - Jewelry and Watches
-
Defense/Firearms & Tactical
-
Powersports
-
Overlanding
-
Board of Directors Roles
Let's talk if you're interested in strategy with follow-through, not just good intentions.

About Me
Here are some great questions I've been asked in interviews that give a little more insight into me.
Tell your story. In a conversational style (bullet points are for resumes), take us through your work history by briefly describing the wins you experienced and why you changed jobs/responsibilities.
I am a Strategic Visionary Executive with over 25 years of experience driving rapid growth and organizational transformation at the intersection of Sales, Marketing, and complex Operations. Throughout my career, I have operated as a high-impact P&L leader and change agent, specializing in accelerating revenue and optimizing EBITDA by modernizing market positioning through AI-driven campaigns and innovative business development.
What sets my leadership apart is the bridge I build between high-level strategy and technical operational command. My background spans the entire product lifecycle, including deep expertise in Project Management, Quality Control (QA/QC), and Regulatory Affairs within the Automotive Accessory sector. I don't just envision growth; I understand the mechanical and regulatory frameworks required to deliver it.
I am passionate about building diverse, high-performance teams and fostering a culture of accountability and professional development. Whether I am delivering high-powered presentations to executive boards or forging global strategic partnerships, my focus remains the same: delivering immediate profitability while securing a legacy of long-term organizational excellence.
What have you been most proud of throughout your career? What would you consider your greatest accomplishment?
One of my greatest professional achievements is the consistent success I have had in identifying and cultivating latent talent within my organizations. I believe true leadership lies in "pulling the potential" out of individuals by empowering them with the autonomy to succeed while providing the strategic scaffolding they need to advance their careers. By fostering an environment of trust and empowerment, I have successfully mentored dozens of professionals, transforming high-potential employees into high-performing leaders who drive the business forward.
My leadership philosophy is built on a foundation of high-level support without the constraints of micromanagement. While I prioritize giving my team the space to innovate and own their results, I maintain a "boots-on-the-ground" readiness to dive into the trenches whenever a complex challenge arises. This balance of strategic delegation and tactical accessibility ensures that my team feels both empowered to lead and fully supported in achieving our collective goals.
Beyond the metrics and milestones of my career, I find my greatest fulfillment in the enduring success of the professionals I have mentored. There is no higher validation of my leadership than receiving outreach from former colleagues and employees who share how my guidance fundamentally shaped their career trajectories. Whether through a check-in call or a note of gratitude years later, these testimonials serve as a powerful reminder of the lasting impact a leader can have on an individual's professional growth and confidence.
For me, leadership is an investment in human capital that extends far beyond a single tenure or project. Knowing that I have left a positive, indelible mark on someone's journey, equipping them with the tools and mindset to thrive, is the true measure of my professional legacy. I take immense pride in fostering a culture where people feel challenged, supported, and ultimately empowered to achieve more than they thought possible.
What has been the greatest learning experience in your career?
My leadership philosophy is deeply rooted in the belief that a positive, psychologically safe culture is the primary driver of organizational performance. I advocate for a "growth-mindset" environment where employees are encouraged to step outside their comfort zones and innovate without the paralyzing fear of failure. By prioritizing public recognition and transparent praise, I foster a culture of high morale and engagement, which I have found to be the most effective catalyst for long-term retention and collective success.
This conviction was further solidified throughout my career as I navigated an organization defined by high turnover and a fear-based environment. Witnessing firsthand the systemic erosion of productivity and talent within a toxic culture gave me invaluable insight into the need for proactive leadership. It reinforced my commitment to serving as a cultural architect, ensuring that accountability never comes at the expense of psychological safety, and that the workplace remains a space where top talent is inspired to stay and excel.
On a personal level, the past year has given me a valuable perspective on the necessity of sustainable work-life integration. At the same time, my career has historically required extensive travel, often reaching 70% to 80%, stepping into a more localized leadership role allowed me to recognize the significant impact of constant time away on my family, particularly my two sons. This shift has not only benefited my personal life but has also refined my approach to modern business communication.
While I remain an enthusiast of the strategic value of travel and face-to-face interaction, I have realized that exceeding a 50% travel threshold is rarely necessary in today's interconnected world. I am now a firm advocate for a more balanced, hybrid approach that leverages advanced digital collaboration tools to maintain high-touch relationships with customers and suppliers. By prioritizing meaningful, intentional travel over constant presence, I have found that I can drive exceptional business results while remaining present and engaged with my family.
Why should our client be interested in your candidacy? What makes you a good return on investment?
Beyond my core leadership in sales and marketing, I operate as a high-level strategic thinker who prioritizes data-driven decision-making as the foundation for sustainable success. I approach business challenges with an "outside-the-box" perspective, constantly auditing every facet of the organization to identify opportunities for incremental improvement and operational refinement. My commitment to growth is holistic; I focus on simultaneously driving top-line revenue, improving bottom-line cash flow, and building long-term brand equity to ensure the company's market value is both immediate and enduring.
My management style is characterized by long-range planning and cross-functional harmony. I specialize in designing 1- to 3-year KPI roadmaps that align individual performance with corporate objectives, and I am equally invested in supporting personal development goals to ensure my team feels valued and challenged. I am a natural multitasker and diplomat. I excel at unifying disparate departments and eliminating organizational friction by implementing clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and fostering transparent communication. By bridging the gap between strategy and execution, I create a streamlined, high-performance environment where every department is synchronized toward a common vision.
What outside activities besides your career have you or are you involved in? What type of community involvement do you participate in?
Outside of my professional responsibilities, I am deeply committed to the stewardship and advocacy of the automotive and outdoor industries. As a proud member of the non-profit organization Tread Lightly!, I actively participate in trail cleanup initiatives to help preserve our natural landscapes for future generations. My commitment to the industry also extends to the legislative level; as a President-level member of the SEMA PAC, I try to travel to Washington, D.C., annually to advocate for critical initiatives such as the "Right to Repair Act" and various Trail Access Acts. This involvement allows me to serve as a bridge between high-level government affairs and the grassroots community, ensuring the long-term viability of the automotive aftermarket.
On a personal note, my family shares my passion for the industry. We are true "gearheads" with a deep-rooted love for motorsports and the off-roading community. When I am not advocating for the industry in the capital, I enjoy staying active through skiing, tactical sports, and exploring the outdoors. This authentic connection to the lifestyle behind the products I represent gives me a unique, firsthand perspective that informs my strategic decisions and strengthens my industry relationships.
